Location
Moneglia… “is always a good idea.”
Audrey Hepburn
The charming seaside town of Moneglia, named one of the “most beautiful towns and villages in Italy”, in the Baie del Levante area of the Ligurian coastline, treasures the many tourists, both Italian and foreign, who come back every season to jazz up the atmosphere of the beaches, the traditional carruggi – narrow alleyways – the little shops and all the traditional activities.
Its enviable strategic location makes it the perfect base for an experiential holiday to discover the other amazing spots on the Riviera and in the Entroterra.

The surroundings
Sights include Camogli, one of the most famous, romantic fishing villages in Liguria, with its tall trompe l’œil fronted houses; the quiet San Fruttuoso bay with its abbey reflected on the crystal clear sea and the Christ of the Abyss statue; the elegant, reserved Santa Margherita Ligure; Portofino, the famed high society hotspot; Chiavari, with its market and excellent shopping; the two bays of Sestri Levante; and Lerici and Portovenere, the renowned little ports on the Gulf of Poets which have enchanted writers and artists alike.
The cinque terre
A trip by train or by boat to the little towns that together form the world-renowned Cinque Terre, Unesco World Heritage site since 1997, is not to be missed: Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore can be reached from the hotel in about 30 minutes. These romantic villages cling to the rock which drops straight down to the sea, protected by stunning coves and surrounded by precipitous rocks and terraces where vines and olive trees are grown. It’s a truly unique natural sight and a highly desirable destination for fans of hiking and diving.
You can take in masterpieces of art and nature alike at these locations with their wealth of tradition, for a unique, once in a lifetime holiday!
