Harvest Season at Villa Edera & La Torretta: Grape Picking & Wine Tasting on the Italian Riviera
Late September and October in Liguria bring a quieter, more authentic side of the Italian Riviera. The beaches are peaceful, the air is soft and the hills around Villa Edera & La Torretta come alive with the rhythms of the grape harvest.
This is your invitation to experience it up close — from walking through the vineyard to tasting our own natural wines in our boutique cellar, just steps from your suite.
Be Part of the Grape Harvest
Each year at the end of September and throughout October we welcome guests to take part in the vendemmia — the traditional grape harvest.
You’ll walk through our vineyard, hand-pick ripe Sangiovese grapes and connect with a centuries-old Ligurian ritual. The atmosphere is peaceful and intimate — no groups, no rush, just a genuine hands-on experience in nature.
There’s no pressure to participate fully — you can simply observe, learn and enjoy.
Our Boutique Cellar & Natural Wines
Our winemaking cellar is located right here at Villa Edera & La Torretta. It’s where our Sangiovese and Bosco grapes begin their transformation — resting on their skins to macerate naturally in small barrels and amphoras.
The space is quiet and atmospheric, filled with the earthy scent of fermenting grapes and wood. This is where you’ll taste the wines — right where they’re made.
We produce three wines exclusively for our guests:
- Cherry Soul – A fresh rosé made from Sangiovese, floral and vibrant with a mineral finish
- La Vigna Ritrovata – A deep, elegant red from Sangiovese, aged with care and ideal for pairing
- Ghe n’è poco – A rare white from Bosco grapes, aromatic and crisp with limited availability
All wines are natural, hand-harvested and crafted with minimal intervention in collaboration with a local artisan winemaker.
Wine Tasting in Our Cellar
After the vineyard walk and a visit to the production area you’ll enjoy a guided tasting in our boutique cellar. Here you’ll sample Cherry Soul, La Vigna Ritrovata and Ghe n’è poco, paired with simple local specialties — cheese, seasonal vegetables and a taste of our olive oil.
The setting is intimate and relaxed. It’s not about formal techniques or wine jargon — it’s about discovering the flavors of this land and sharing a moment that feels both real and refined.
